When faced with life's challenges,
it is Important to Remember
that although Daniel was saved from the lions,
he was not saved from the Lion's Den.

You Must Believe
"God expects you to have enough faith and determination and enough trust in Him to keep moving, keep living, keep rejoicing. In fact, He expects you not simply to face the future (that sounds pretty grim and stoic); He expects you to embrace and shape the future--to love it and rejoice in it and delight in your opportunities... God is anxiously waiting for the chance to answer your prayers and fulfill your dreams, just as He always has. But He can't if you don't pray, and He can't if you don't dream. In short, He can't if you don't believe." ~Jeffrey R. Holland~

ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote! I love it--thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHolland is my husbands favorite speaker, and I can totally see why.
ReplyDeleteI like that about not facing the future. I look forward to the future because my future is in Heaven with Jesus! There's nothing to worry about with a future like that, right? :)
ReplyDeleteI have to keep reminding myself that we should look forward to what's coming instead of dreading it! When I was a teenager, I felt very carefree and happy. It's only been the last five or maybe ten years that I've been tensing up. I think it's because I've passed 50 and I really don't want to have to see a movie of my life when I die! (I think I'll just stick my face in the popcorn tub until it's over!)
ReplyDeleteSo good, my friend.
